Energite Ltd is not an energy supplier. We arrange introductions and contracts between customers and third-party energy suppliers.

2. Scope of Services

Energite Ltd provides energy brokerage and consultancy services, which may include:

  • Reviewing energy usage and existing contracts
  • Obtaining quotations from energy suppliers
  • Introducing customers to suitable gas and electricity suppliers
  • Assisting with new contracts, renewals, and switches
  • Providing general information relating to energy contracts

Any contract for the supply of energy is between you and the energy supplier, not Energite Ltd.

3. Our Role as an Intermediary

Energite Ltd acts solely as an intermediary. We do not:

  • Supply gas or electricity
  • Control supplier pricing or contract terms
  • Guarantee acceptance by a supplier
  • Control billing, metering, or energy delivery

All supply obligations rest with the appointed energy supplier under their contract terms.

4. Commission and Remuneration

Energite Ltd may receive commission or other remuneration from energy suppliers for introducing customers or arranging contracts.

  • Commission may be included within the unit rate, standing charge, or paid separately by the supplier
  • Commission does not exceed the amount agreed under the supplier contract
  • Details of commission arrangements are available upon request

5. Accuracy of Information

You are responsible for ensuring that all information provided to Energite Ltd is accurate and complete, including but not limited to:

  • Business or personal details
  • Meter numbers (MPAN/MPRN)
  • Consumption data
  • Contract end dates

Energite Ltd is not responsible for errors or losses arising from incorrect or incomplete information supplied by you.

6. Calls, Communications and Recordings

To ensure service quality, compliance, and dispute resolution:

  • Telephone calls may be recorded
  • Call recordings may be used for training, monitoring, and regulatory purposes
  • Recordings are stored securely in line with UK GDPR

By engaging with Energite Ltd, you consent to call recording.

7. Data Protection

Energite Ltd processes personal and business data in accordance with:

  • UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR)
  • Data Protection Act 2018

8. Cancellation and Cooling-Off Rights

Cooling-off rights depend on your customer classification and the supplier’s contract terms:

  • Business energy contracts may not include a cooling-off period
  • Any cancellation rights are governed solely by the supplier’s terms

Customers are advised to review all supplier documentation carefully before agreeing.

9. Complaints Procedure

Energite Ltd is committed to handling complaints fairly and promptly.

10. Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)

If your complaint cannot be resolved internally, you may refer the matter to our approved ADR provider:

The Energy Ombudsman

Energite Ltd will cooperate fully with any investigation by the Energy Ombudsman.

11. Eligibility for the Energy Ombudsman

The Energy Ombudsman can consider complaints from:

  • Domestic consumers
  • Microbusiness customers (as defined by Ofgem)

Larger business customers may not be eligible for the Ombudsman scheme.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Energite Ltd is not liable for actions, omissions, or failures of energy suppliers
  • We are not responsible for supplier pricing changes, billing disputes, or service delivery issues
  • Our liability is limited to losses directly caused by our negligence or breach of duty

Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence.

13. Third-Party Websites and Suppliers

Our website or communications may contain links to third-party websites or services. Energite Ltd accepts no responsibility for the content or practices of third parties.

14. Changes to These Terms

Energite Ltd may amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The most current version will always be available on our website.

15. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
